These are recent picks from our SHARPHORSES SELECTION service, focusing mainly on our Preferred Plays, which are either Best Bets and/or Live Longshots.  LS horses have shown substantial flat bet profits for win and place and as exotic keys since introduced almost 3 years ago.  LS horses are horses that I think have a chance to finish 1st or 2nd at a price. This is based on various methodology that I've developed over the years, including several systems.  PS means Pro Simulcast System plays, they are also solid. 2C means that I have information that this horse was well regarded as a two year old in training.  **indicates Preferred Plays. All of my top picks are either Preferred Plays, Live Longshots, PS, or 2C. This page will give you an idea of what type of service we provide, and the format we use. If you're a novice handicapper, you can learn how to handicap by reading my comments. I wish I had something like that years ago. It took me many years to learn these things. In 3 of the races, our top 2 our top 2 picks completed the exactas, $119.50, $56.40, $21.20. We also had the trifecta and superfecta from this race at Saratoga listed.

LEMON SUPREME worked strongly in :58.3 from the gate over the track on 7/19 beating 3yo colt In The Forecast who came out of that work to win a $50k maiden claiming race over the track; well bred filly debuts for Paasch, who usually wins with a few firsters at Del Mar...INSPIRED STORM showed speed and was 2nd best in debut, has trained sharp over the track for 2nd start...SHE'S CHEEKY has run well in all 3 starts...SOLO PIANO debuts for Frankel off fine works.

We had 5 plays on Friday and cashed in 4 of them Let Us Prey our top pick won at Del Mar and paid $4.0 (4-1 on the ML), at Monmouth we had one play and the top two choices completed a $27.40 Exacta, and at Arlington we had two plays an one won and paid $5.60, then at Lone Star we had this COLD $61.80 Exacta and $213 Trifecta.

Bombs Away Longshot Holly At Law won and paid $60.20,  Bombs Away Longshots are showing a huge flat bet profit. I bet this race heavily, betting exactas, trifectas, and superfectas, and even though I lost all my exotics, I still won over $400 on the race due to the win bet on the 10.

DUBIOUS gets the upset call in a wide open race. She was fractious at the gate from the rail in debut and bled, but still finished 3rd. Adds lasix, has a win-early pedigree, gets outside post this time...SALTY RACHEL ran well in debut, finished 3rd behind Defiant Darling, who came back to repeat, trained a bullet for this, can take all...CAROLINA GAL ran 2nd behind Defiant Darling in solid return effort, can take all...HOLLY AT LAW showed good speed along the rail and tired in debut, has trained sharp since and is a threat to speed pop at a huge price.

We had a nice score at Belmont Sunday, $495 trifecta. 

RACE 8

GOLD VENDETTA gets the top call on any surface here but I prefer this longshot if the race stays on turf. Trainer Alan Goldberg excells turf to dirt and this 3yo is sired by Gold Fever who has a 43% win rate in turf sprints, and is out of a Silver Deputy mare, and Silver Deputy has a 39% win rate in turf sprints. Goldberg also does well with fresh horses and this is a 2 month layoff. Upset call on any surface, but particularly on turf...YUKON GOLD RUSH draws tough posts but has good off track and turf figures, and entrymate WHO NEEDS TO KNOW steps up sharp...CALAGAITOR steps up off a good effort and picks up top turf rider...PLEASE IMPRESS was used in a wicked pace in last at Monmouth....GRAND TREASURE is a threat if the race is moved to dirt.
