RACE 2
LITTLE BLUE RIVER makes first start for a tag, moves to turf for 22% turf trainer, adds blinkers, and gets a key rider change to P. Val, upset call...DROLL hasn't raced since January but drops to a career low, makes first start on turf with suitable pedigree and worked a bullet for good barn...PRADO'S DRAMA has the best turf pedigree in the field, drops in for a tag for a live barn in 2nd career start and first since February, distance main question as this one is bred to run long, also seems like they're giving up rather quickly for a horse with this pedigree...SOUND STAGE makes first start for a tag.
Wow, what an overlay. Saturday I posted the Diamond System printout (see below) for the 9th race at Monmouth. Two horses were scratched (2,3) leaving only a 5 horse field. Acoma looked strong on the ratings but was beaten by the 2nd pick Maren's Meadow, a terrific two horse exacta box that paid $81.80 in a 5 horse field! Here you can clearly see the power of the Diamond Ratings. Look at Maren's Meadow. She had a Diamond Rating of 100. Now if you look at the TM SR (Trackmaster Speed Ratings), you can see that African Violet had a top speed rating of 112, 13 points higher than Maren's Meadow. Yet the Diamond System ranked Maren's Meadow over African Violet (who went off as the 8-5 favorite). The reason for this was because of pace. Maren's Meadow had a strong pace figure and the Diamond System is a "pace balanced" rating system that takes both early acceleration and late acceleration and balances it with the final time. No other rating is as dynamic or effective for spotting price plays as the Diamond Rating. Another reason why Maren's Meadow was a terrific horse to use in the exacta, note the Morning Line is 8/1L. The L is a indicator that is an exclusive feature of Trackmaster's pp files, and this L means that Maren's Meadow fits a pattern that has produced profitable longshot winners. Maren's Meadow went wire to wire. Saturday, August 9
SAMPLES OF PAST FREE PICKS Saturday, December 22, my regular Sharphorses Selection Service subscribers had this horse, Into Mischief below, and I also gave it out here on the Free Picks. We had a huge score, great way to end a meet, $29.60 Live Longshot key horse winner, COLD $129.60 exacta, COLD $414.20 trifecta, and COLD $1668.20 superfecta. How's that for a Free Pick? Do you see that on any other websites? Saturday, December 22
RACE 9
INTO MISCHIEF gets a tough post but appears to have plenty of ability. He won a key race in debut then was a sharp 2nd in GR3 sprint. Has trained strongly for Mandella and his low dosage profile suggests that he should get the distance...COLONEL JOHN finished strongly to win his first route race and continues to train well for hot barn; unlike the other top contenders, he is already proven at this distance...MASSIVE DRAMA beat top pick gamely in last, has trained sharply for Baffert and is the one to catch...MONBA won going a mile around one turn at Churchill, ships in for Pletcher/Gomez and is hard to dismiss in competitive stakes race.
Free Picks scored with an $11.80 winner (see below) on Thanksgiving Day. Sharphorses Selection Service had been in the midst of a torrid hot streak, producing 6 straight profitable days on top picks. At a cost of less than a $1.00 a day this service is a tremendous bargain. Pandy's Live Longshots have shown a substantial flat bet profit since being introduced over three years ago, and we just added a new feature, our Play of the Day, which is the best potential value play of the day. Saturday's won and paid $11.80.Some Previous Postings...Thursday, November 22, Happy Thanksgiving
RACE 3
WHATA YA MEAN showed speed and tired over a wet turf course in last start back in May. Showed good speed wiring his field from post 12 at this distance in prior start. Training nicely for good layoff barn and may be loose on the lead for Bejarano here...CHEROKEE HEAVEN broke maiden nicely...CASUAL THUNDER finally got his 3nd win in last, fits here on best...BRONZINO raced well off the pace over this coure last year then was sent to the lead in both starts this year and faltered badly. I would have to think that they'll take this one back today and that could set things up for our top pick to be lone speed.

Friday's Breeders Cup winner RACE 10 BREEDERS' CUP DIRT MILE (at 1 70)
CORINTHIAN has been freshened up and figures to be charging from off a fast pace...DISCREET CAT hasn't shown anything in two starts this year after looking like a superhorse as a 3yo. Reportedly training sharp, Gomez has to try to avoid a speed duel but if this horse is right it won't matter...PARK AVENUE BALL has 6 wins over this track, is at his best distance and handles wet surface...WANDERIN BOY this distance is perfect for him and he is arguably the best off track horse in the race. His best races have all come on the lead but there's no guarantee he'll be able to set the pace here.
THE PREAKNESS DIAMOND SYSTEM PRINTOUT Note: For this printout, I manually selected each paceline. I tried to use each horse's best race at 9 furlongs or longer but three of the horses have never raced that far, including Bernardini, who is rated off the 1 mile Withers, and earned the top Diamond.
THE PREAKNESS DIAMOND/Formula RATINGS
As you can see, the Diamond System had the $27.80 winner on top in the 2006 2007 Preakness and had the $171.80 Exacta Cold.Free Picks nailed the $72.00 Exacta and $163.50 Trifecta in the 2006 Wood Memorial (see below).Saturday, April 8
RACE 8 WOOD MEMORIAL
JAZIL disappointed in last but has shown a good kick and may be well placed behind a fast pace; slight edge...BOB AND JOHN is the most advanced of these, one to beat...KEYED ENTRY is bred to love and off track and won big in slop recently. Dangerous if track off...DEPUTY GLITTERS improving colt. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
