RECENT and PAST SHARPHORSES SELECTION SERVICE WINNERSThese are recent picks from our SHARPHORSES SELECTION service. Live Longshots (LS) horses have shown substantial flat bet profits for win and place and as exotic keys since introduced 6 years ago. LS horses are horses that I think have a chance to finish 1st or 2nd at a price. This is based on various methodology that I've developed over the years, including several systems. PS means Pro Simulcast System plays, they are also solid. 2C means that I have information that this horse was well regarded as a two year old in training. **indicates Preferred Plays. We also have the ***Bombs Away Longshots, which are showing a big profit. This page will give you an idea of what type of service we provide, and the format we use. If you're a novice handicapper, you can learn how to handicap by reading my comments. I wish I had something like that years ago. It took me many years to learn these things. If you just want to win, you can if you just use the service. Note: racing results provided by www.racingchannel.com. By the way, a "win" in my book is when my spot play wins, or, when the top two choices hit the exacta (2 horse exacta box). Saturday, July 16 Hot streak continues, yesterday, an $18 top winner at Monmmouth, I also had a $6.60 top winner at Hollywood and the $77.20 exacta, and at Presque Isle Downs I gave out the $13.40 (top 2) exacta, so out of 4 Sharphorses Picks, I made a nice profit in three of the races. Note that Saint Dynaformer was 3-1 on my line.
RACE 4
Friday, July 9 This is one of the best hot streaks I've been in and has been for the past few months. Yesterday's picks are below, and as you can see, all 3 horses won, no favorites, and we I had two cold exactas ($52.00 and $23.20) a cold $106.80 trifecta, a cold $342.20 superfecta with the winners paying $13.20, $8.20, and $7.00. These were all maiden races, which is my strength, one at Calder and two at Monmouth. Moving around to different tracks allows me to pinpoint strong spot plays, rather than relying on one circuit and forcing plays on bad cards. SHARPHORSES SELECTION

RACE 12
Sunday, July 4 Sunday I had two spot plays, one lost by a nose, and the other, Torrone, was leading by 4 lengths throughout and paid $7.00. I also gave out full-card picks at Belmont and I had 6 WINNERS ON TOP including a $15.00 top winner that keyed a $59.00 exacta. Note my comments on Torrone, very strong play indeed.
RACE 10
TORRONE, a NY bred, shipped over to Monmouth for debut, a positive sign since trainer Kiaran McLaughlin felt that she was good enough to go after an $80,000 purse in a open maiden race, which turned out to be a huge key race. The impressive debut winner came out of the race to run 2nd in a stakes race, and the place horse, Zermatt, destroyed a maiden field her earlier in the week. TORRONE chased a wicked pace along the rail, which the rider's avoided during the day, and she tired in the stretch; moves in with statebreds for an excellent 2nd out barn, has trained well for this, which is essentially a pretty steep drop in class.
Saturday, July 3 Value sometimes comes when least expected. Yesterday I only had one Preferred Play, an obvious favorite at Belmont. I didn't expect to get much value on this play, but it was the only race that I liked all day. If you look at my odds line, I have the top pick at 7-5, then the first time starter Zone Breaker at 4-1. The other two horses are 8-1. So you can see that I felt that the 3 horse was clearly the main rival here. The 3-2 exacta paid $38.80, an amazing value in this race. I count a two horse exacta box on top 2 picks as win.
RACE 3
I couldn't find much value today, which is surprising for a Saturday. COMMON CURRENCY forced the pace against the sharp favorite in a big key race at Saratoga last summer, returns for good layoff barn and Dominguez is winning at 56% over the past year when riding for this trainer....ZONE BREAKER nicely bred newcomer has trained well.
Thursday, July 1 Value comes in different ways. Thursday I gave out one pick on Sharphorses Selection Service and made the horse 2-1 odds. Two horses were scratched, reducing the race to a 5 horse field and Chris Got Even won and paid $7.80, plus we had the cold $17.20 Exacta. This was great value in short field.
RACE 1
CHRIS GOT EVEN ran the best race of his career over this track and distance last fall, then ran competitively in tougher fields; freshened up, takes a key drop for Zito barn...SAMHOON ran big at Finger Lakes in first start off the claim by high-percentage Finger Lakes-based barn, stretches out off a bullet work...THE ROUNDHOUSE takes a key drop, picks up top rider and will be closing...REFLECT TIMES drops off a freshening.
Sunday, June 27 I gave out 3 horses yesterday, one was scratched, Chariman Now missed by a nose at Belmont and paid $4.70 to place, and Hey Babe won at Belmont and paid $8.50 and as you can see, we had the $134.00 trifecta. For the week Sharphorses Selection service only gave out 7 horses, but 4 of them won. RACE 7 TURF OR DIRT
HEY BABE raced in tough fields in two turf starts at Gulfstream; was short in return but takes a key drop here and returns to turf; top call any surface but turf preferred...HALCYON DAYS moves into hot barn off a nice try at Calder...LOYAL SHADOW finished strongly to break maiden in last...VALUABLE LADY is quick and just missed in last; becomes extra tough if the 1 horse, her main pace rival, is scratched.
Thursday, June 24 Big start to the week as the picks remain red hot, so far this week between this site and longshotwinners.com I out 3 horses, all winners. Yesterday Prairie Fever won and paid $7.40 and we had the COLD $19.80 exacta in the 2nd at Arlington. Then in the 6th at Arlington, also on turf, our top pick and Bombs Away Longshot Use Somebody won and paid $24.20. You can go to http://www.longshotwinners.com/recent_winners.htm for more details.
RACE 2
PRAIRIE FEVER goes from a cold barn that has 1 win in 60 starts this meet, to Ron Faucheaux, who has 7 wins in 11 starts on the year while training for leading owner Frank Calabrese, his horses are winning at well over 50% here so far this year. Bred for turf, steps up off two good tries to start career. Saturday, June 19 RACE 6
Y TO KAT
only lost by 2 lengths in return while in tight quarters on the rail; goes
inside-out and can upset with clear sailing.
Friday, June 18 Two picks on Friday, a top winner at Churchill and this nice exacta at Monmouth which paid $52.80 and we also had the $153 trifecta. Just to let everyone know, I count it as a winner if my key horse wins, or, if my top two picks hit the exacta.
RACE 6
MADRILENA broke slow in a good field in debut, rushed into contention along the deep rail at Philadelphia then weakened in the lane and hit the rail while tiring then was not pushed from there; drops in for a tag, adds blinkers and may be the value play in a competitive field.
Sunday, June 13 7 winners on top in last 9 top picks on this site.Sunday we had one Sharphorses pick, Storm Showers a $7.20 winner at Belmont, giving us 7 winners on TOP in our last 9 picks dating back to last Sunday, June 6. Saturday, June 12 Two more winners on top (in 2 picks) for Sharphorses Selection Service yesterday, which means in our last 8 picks going back to last Saturday, we had 6 top winners, and we had the COLD trifecta in this race at Hollywood yesterday.
RACE 10
WESTERN MOOD is well bred
and trained fast at the sales, debuts for hot Hollendorfer barn and he does well
with firsters...AMERICAN WILDCAT ships in from Golden Gate where he showed sharp
speed in debut and is the one to catch...DOUGHBOY had some traffic problems in
debut, closed well for good 2yo barn...COMMA TO THE STOP ran in a claimer in
debut and had traffic problems, finished gamely.
Thursday, June 10
RACE 7 TURF OR DIRT
SMART WOMAN has improved sharply for Tony Dutrow, drops into a restricted claiming race, stretches out, is nicely bred for turf if race stays on turf, but gets the call on any surface here and is nicely bred for off track....PALACE MISTRESS ships in off a sharp turf win...SHEHASHIGHHOPES has good turf form...KALEIGH ROSE also has good turf form. If race comes off the turf it's hard to say who the main contenders are, most of these are turf horses.
Sunday, June 6 Between this site and longshotwinners.com, Sharphorses Selection Service had two picks on Sunday, both win and in the 5th at Arlington our top two picks finished in a dead heated for win and we had the correct order of finish in the top 4, meaning that people who keyed the trifecta/superfecta and boxed the top 2 in exactas hit two exactas, two trifectas and two superfectas. At Monmouth, our top picks and Bombs Away Longshot, Jackie Oh, 12-1 on the morning line, won by 10 lengths and paid $10.20 and we had the $58.00 exacta.
RACE 5
RACE 4
JACKIE OH ducked out from the extreme outside post 12 in debut and was 22 lengths behind early, finished well; ships in for a barn and rider who have hooked up for a $100 winner here this meet, stretches out for 2nd start.
Monday, May 31
RACE 4
OUR EPONENE showed speed over the often difficult Philadelphia track which has a dull rail; she raced much better at the Meadowlands and so far this meet, Jersey breds that raced at Philadelphia are firing...DEVELOPING STORY broke slow in debut and chased a repeat winner; one to beat for high-percentage connections...SUMKIN raced over Philadelphia slop in first two starts, could improve at a price here...MOCHATINI debuts for good barn.

Sunday, May 16 Big weekend, I could only find one play on Sunday but it worked, exacta, trifecta, superfecta, gave us 4 winners in 5 plays over the weekend.
RACE 6
HARMONIOUS ran like a typical long-legged, high-stepping son of Dynaformer in debut, one paced the finished well in the lane while obviously prepping for a turf route. Stretches out for good connections...GO FORTH NORTH broke slow and just missed against similar; needs an alert break but has some ability...BLUE TAMBOURINE stretches out with some turf pedigree...FIRST SETTLER lacked a rally in a key race.
Saturday, May 15 Yesterday was a big day. I did not have the Preakness winner, but that was not a regular **star**play. On the day I gave out 4 regular picks, Shine N Time**, a Preferred Play at Hollywood won and paid $9.60 and I had the COLD $23.60 Exacta. My Bombs Away Longshot at Woodbine lost, but my two other Bombs Away Longshots won, Omar's Tiger*** went wire to wire impressively in his turf debut at Calder and paid $11.80, and at Philadelphia, Tiz Clear*** won and paid $13.00 and my top 3 picks had the $93.40 Exacta and $182.60 Trifecta.
RACE 1

distance when sent to the lead three starts back...PRETTY KINZIE beat top choice
off a patient closing trip in last.
RACE 3

it was a key race at Gulfstream...VALENTINOS GOLD improved in last at Gulfstream

Friday, April 16 We had one pick on Friday, it won and paid $17.60 odds first time out. On Saturday, April 17, we had a whopping $296.40 exacta and $1896.40 trifecta in the Lexington stakes at Keeneland www.longshotwinners.com/freepicks.htm Friday, April 16

RACE 5
CRACK THEPAT set the pace over a slow surface and weakened going 7f in last; solid placing at this distance two back, drops back in for a tag and may not stop...RAISING TIMBER has tactical speed and has been freshened up for good barn...EXPEDITION comes off a year layoff but ran well in debut and makes first start for a tag here...CLOSE RANGE tired badly in debut last summer, adds lasix and drops in for a tag for Hall of Fame trainer.
RACE 1
ASK AUNT AMBER went off at 50-1 in debut, showed speed while 4 wide early, raced in traffic on the turn then lacked a rally and fell back in the lane while facing much better; drops in for a tag for 2nd career start and may go well at a price.

RACE 5
Wednesday, December 2 I gave out one pick Wednesday, Bag Tosser won going away and paid $7.00. Note that I made the horse 8-5, nice overlay, and we had the trifecta.
RACE 1
BAG TOSSER showed good speed over a slow Arlington Park surface in debut and held the place, then showed speed and tired in two subsequent turf routes and her turf pedigree really isn't that good; returns to sprint, makes first start on dirt, appears well prepped and can wire these...FIVE STAR HAWK is bred to win early and out of a proven broodmare who has produced 3 winners from 3 starters and a stakes winner, training well for hot barn, could be main rival...BUZZ MY BELL is a one paced closer and comes off three straight placings, in the mix...APTITUDE IN ME cuts back to a sprint and may finish.
Friday, November 20 We had 2 picks Friday, with one winner, this $8.40 winner and COLD $25.40 exacta and COLD trifecta. This horse won by 3 1/2 lengths and was totally in hand while never asked for this best.
RACE 8
Thursday, November 12 Thursday we had one pick and it ran 2nd, but I love this when the top two horses complete a nice paying exacta ($47.00), great value considering that the key horse, Eminent Code, went off at 8-5 and had a very strong chance to finish 1st or 2nd. I always count it as a win when my top 2 horses hit the exacta. The key to this race was the betting. Note that I made Eminent Code 8-5, and that's exactly what she went off. But, I made Oceana Indica 4-1, but that filly actually went off as the favorite in the race. So you can see that an underlay set up the overlay exacta as the public made a mistake and made the wrong horse the favorite, I had it right in my personal odds line.
RACE 6
Friday, November 6 I've had some big days in my handicapping career but yesterday was right up
there. On this site I gave out picks in 8 races including 6 Breeders Cup races,
and had the winner on top in 6 of the 8 races: $18.20, $14.80, $9.70, $8.90,
$6.60, SHARPHORSES SELECTION SERVICE Friday, November 6

MIDDAY has kept good company in Europe, edge...FOREVER TOGETHER hasn't had a gdrat year but she won this race last year and should be tough...MAGICAL FANTASY is 2 for 2 over Santa Anita turf, sharp...VISIT ran surprisingly well behind Magical Fantasy in last, may be on or near the lead in a race lacking speed.
